Biography

David Flores



President and CEO

A Banker/Consultant with 40 years of domestic and international experience. Prior experience includes Senior Vice President of JPMorganChase, within the $1.2B Retail Distribution Business (600 branches nationwide). In this position, he was responsible for developing and implementing strategies on alternative multi-channel distribution models for integrated Retail Financial Services offerings. He has also started up various business units (Small Business, Credit Card, Cash Management, etc.) in multiple financial services institutions in the U.S., Latin America, Caribbean, and Asia. In addition, he was a Principal with Booz Allen & Hamilton in the Financial Services sector in Mexico, Australia, and U.S. Mr. Flores holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.

C. Mark Arnold


Organizer and Exec Chairman


A former investment banker with Bank of America and SunTrust, and Executive Director of Corporate Development for BellSouth Corp. He has managed or participated in a variety of corporate development activities, including mergers, acquisition and divestiture projects (domestically and internationally), and strategic alliances. Mr. Arnold’s Latin America experience includes execution of complex transactions in eleven Latin American countries and service as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Montevideo, Uruguay. In addition to his finance experience, Mr. Arnold held management consulting positions with General Electric Company and McKinsey & Company. Mr. Arnold holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Matthew K.V. Bailey


Director


Prior to joining McJunkin Mr. Bailey worked as an executive recruiter with Morgan Howard Worldwide. He spent five years with The Boston Consulting Group in the U.S. and overseas, serving consumer services, consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical clients. Earlier in his career he was a Senior Manager at Andersen Consulting, serving clients in the areas of IT strategy, process reengineering, change management and systems integration. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from Duke University.

Scott Sneed


Organizer & Director


Mr. Sneed is currently a partner with Cleaver Associates, the US agent for Avgol Nonwovens, a manufacturer of nonwovens for the global hygiene market. His background includes 25 years in the consumer products industry. He was previously Executive Director of Product Development at Drypers Corporation, responsible for global purchasing, R&D and intellectual property management. Prior to that, he worked in manufacturing at Kimberly-Clark and in product development at Procter & Gamble. He holds several patents in the area of consumer disposables. Mr. Sneed holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the University of Memphis.

Nolo Martinez


Director


Dr. H. Nolo Martínez, a Puerto Rican native, is a Research Scientist at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, Department of Social Work where he serves as the Director of the UNCG Center for New North Carolinians. In 1998, North Carolina Governor James B. Hunt Jr. appointed Dr. Martinez as the first Director of Hispanic/Latino Affairs, a position he served in for six years. Dr. Martinez has held a number of positions focused on working with immigrant groups. Dr. Martínez earned a doctorate degree in adult education from North Carolina State University.

Javier Castillo


Director


Mr. Castillo, a Nicaraguan native, is currently the International Sales Manager for LBA Technology, Inc in Greenville, North Carolina. Prior to this, he worked for Blue Bell, Inc in Greensboro, NC and Madrid, Spain where he held the position of controller and Financial director. He currently sits on various boards (NC Center for Public Policy, United Way of Pitt County), as well as, is a Member of NC Advisory Council on Hispanic/Latino Affairs and Co-Chairman of its Economic Development Committee. Mr. Castillo has also been a Small Business Instructor at Pitt Community College and a speaker East Carolina Business College. He is the host and producer of La Voz Latina, a Spanish radio program. Mr. Castillo holds an MBA from Tulane University.

Jose Mejia


Director


Mr. Mejia a Venezuelan native. Most recently served as Executive Vice President of Operations for Spansion, the global leader in flash memory and flash memory solutions. In that role he led close to 10 thousand people worldwide and was responsible for all the company’s manufacturing, semi-conductor fabrication facilities, final manufacturing operations, logistics and distribution, procurement, information technology, real estate, quality, community engagement teams. Prior to joining Spansion Mr. Mejia served as president of Lucent Technologies’ Supply Chain Networks organization. Additionally, he has held senior management positions with Nortel Networks, Bay Networks, and Ford Motor Company. He was named one of Hispanic Business Magazine's 25 Corporate Elite for 2005. Hispanic Engineer and Information Technology named Mejia one of the 50 Most Important Hispanics in Technology and Business for 2005 and 2004. He serves on the board of directors of Pella Corporation, Liberty Property Trust, The Smithsonian Institute Hispanic Board, the Affinity Federal Credit Union, as well as the Board of Visitors at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Mr. Mejia holds a bachelor's of science degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Finance and Operations Research from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Jose Serrano

Mr. Serrano was born and raised in Chile. In 1972 he moved to Spain where he entered the Real Estate business, from 1973 – 1980. In 1981 he moved to Raleigh where he continued his Real Estate career. Mr. Serrano is an active member of the Catholic Dioceses of Raleigh and involved with various Hispanic outreach and service programs.  Mr. Serrano attended the Naval Academy in Valparaiso, Chile and the Universidad de Chile - School of Forestry in Santiago, Chile.

Rolly Bannister


Director


Mr. Bannister is the Founder of Bannister properties, a full-service commercial real estate firm.  During his 48 year business career he has owned and operated business in the automobile, manufactured housing, and commercial real estate industries.  In addition to his business interests Mr. Bannister served on various boards including C.A.M.H.A.  co-founder, Raleigh Auto Dealers Association, N.C. Manufactured Housing Association, and Rotary International.  Mr. Bannister holds a degree in Business Administration from Presbyterian College.                   

Jonathan Wigser


Director


Jonathan Wigser is Vice President of Investor Relations for DLC Management Corp., one of the nation’s largest private owners of shopping centers. His responsibilities include marketing DLC real estate transactions to investors, identifying and accessing new sources of capital, and overseeing regular communications with DLC’s expanding investor base. He is also co-founder and Managing Director of DLC Investment Securities Corp. the exclusive placement agent for all DLC Management Corp. real estate investments. Mr. Wigser holds a B.A. in Economics from Williams College and an M.B.A. from Duke University.

James Needham


Director


Mr. Needham is CEO of Coastal Orthopedics & Sports Medicine a group of specialty and sub-specialty orthopedic surgeons providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care.  A  seventeen year veteran of  the healthcare industry he has held a wide variety of positions including operations, strategic planning, financial management, accounting, acquisitions/client development, managed care, marketing, A/R, A/P and human resources.  Mr. Needham holds a B.S. in Health Services Administration from University of South Dakota and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
